Farrell was born Sharon Forsmoe on Christmas Eve in 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa. She later moved to New York, where she pursued acting and modeling. She made her film debut in 1959’s “Kiss Her Goodbye” and ventured into Broadway dancing.
Farrell had a long and successful career in show business. She is most famous for her role in the 1974 horror film “It’s Alive,” where she portrayed the mother of a murderous deformed infant. She also appeared in several other films, including “The Stunt Man,” “Lone Wolf McQuade,” “Marlowe,” “The Reivers” alongside Steve McQueen, and “Can’t Buy Me Love” (1987).
