Demetrius Edward “Big Meech” Flenory Sr., the leader of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), is expected to be released from prison in 2028 after serving 15 years of his 30-year sentence.
Flenory was arrested in 2005 and convicted of continuing criminal enterprise (drug trafficking) and money laundering. He and his brother, Terry Lee “Southwest T” Flenory, were accused of running a nationwide cocaine trafficking ring that grossed millions of dollars.
In 2008, the Flenory brothers were sentenced to 30 years in prison. Big Meech is currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Complex in Sheridan, Colorado.
In 2020, Terry Flenory was released from prison early due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Big Meech has also applied for early release, but his request has been denied.
According to the Bureau of Prisons, Big Meech is scheduled to be released from prison on May 5, 2028. He will be 60 years old at the time of his release.
