Dak Prescott is a star quarterback in the NFL, but his success is due in no small part to the support of his parents, Nathaniel and Peggy.

Nathaniel and Peggy Prescott were high school sweethearts who met in Sulphur, Louisiana. They married in 1989 and had two children together, Dak and his older brother Jace.

Peggy was a stay-at-home mom who raised her sons while Nathaniel worked as a truck driver. She was a strong and loving mother who instilled in her sons the importance of hard work and perseverance.

In 2013, Peggy was diagnosed with colon cancer. She fought bravely against the disease, but she passed away in November of that year. Her death was a devastating blow to Dak and his family, but they have found strength in each other and in their memories of Peggy.

Dak has spoken openly about how his mother’s death has motivated him to succeed in the NFL. He wears her initials, “PD,” on his wrist tape and dedicates every game to her memory.

Nathaniel has also been a source of strength for Dak. He has been a constant presence in his son’s life, both on and off the field. He has helped Dak to stay focused on his goals and to never give up on his dreams.
