Folarin Balogun to Chelsea? Sensational Transfer in the Works
Arsenal star Folarin Balogun is reportedly on the verge of a sensational move to Chelsea, in a deal that could shake up the Premier League.
Balogun, 22, has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium for some time, after failing to break into the first team on a regular basis.
The striker impressed on loan at Reims last season, scoring 17 goals in Ligue 1, and he is now said to be a top target for Chelsea.
The Blues are looking to replace Romelu Lukaku, who has joined Inter Milan, and they see Balogun as a potential long-term replacement.
Arsenal are reluctant to sell Balogun, but they are aware that he could leave if they do not offer him regular first-team football.
A deal could be worth up to £50 million, and it would be a major coup for Chelsea.
Balogun is a highly-rated young striker, and he would add a lot to Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
The move would also be a major blow to Arsenal, who are already facing an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The transfer window closes on August 31st, so it will be interesting to see if Chelsea can get their man.
