Johnny Hardwick, best known for voicing Dale Gribble on the animated sitcom King of the Hill, has died. He was 64.

Hardwick’s body was discovered at his home in Texas on Tuesday. The cause of death has not been released.
Hardwick began his career as a stand-up comedian in Texas in 1990. He made his television debut in 1993 on the sketch comedy show The Jon Stewart Show.
In 1997, Hardwick was cast as Dale Gribble on King of the Hill. Dale was a conspiracy theorist and survivalist who was often at odds with his neighbor, Hank Hill. Hardwick voiced Dale for the show’s entire 13-season run.
In addition to King of the Hill, Hardwick also had roles in the films The Wedding Planner and The Dukes of Hazzard. He also appeared in several television shows, including The Drew Carey Show, Malcolm in the Middle, and The X-Files.
Hardwick was a talented voice actor and comedian. He will be remembered for his work on King of the Hill and for his many other roles.
