Utah Man Craig Deleeuw Robertson Shot and Killed by FBI Agents After Making Violent Threats Against President Joe Biden
A Utah man was shot and killed by FBI agents on August 9, 2023, after he made violent threats against President Joe Biden. The man, identified as Craig Deleeuw Robertson, was reportedly armed when he was confronted by agents at his home in Provo, just south of Salt Lake City.
The incident occurred just hours before President Biden was scheduled to arrive in Utah for a visit. The FBI had been investigating Robertson for several weeks after he made a number of threatening posts on social media. In one post, Robertson referenced President Biden’s trip to Utah and said he needed to prepare his camouflage and sniper rifle.

When agents arrived at Robertson’s home on the morning of August 9, he refused to cooperate and opened fire. The agents returned fire, killing Robertson.
The shooting is under investigation by the FBI. The agency has not released any further details about the incident.
